Totally Broke SSL
I suddenly got these errors where the server couldn’t serve up an SSL page because of too many redirects. After spending the past 4 hours trying to resolve this, I’m writing to let you know that this morning I was on 4.x and it was great. I upgraded and the new way that Apple handles :80 and :443 is apparently to redirect them to :34580 and :34543. This falls into the “it seemed like a good idea at the time…” category. It probably is somehow a great idea, but after two decades of running on :80 and :443 with no problems I have to say thanks for breaking my ssl with another cruddy upgrade. Hey for $20 what do you expect? Google: mac server port redirect
